Vocational Experience
Joanna is a UK-trained medical oncologist with expertise in breast cancer and sarcoma. She relocated to New Zealand in 2019, where she works at Auckland Hospital and is clinical lead for sarcoma at Te Pūriri o Te Ora, Auckland Regional Cancer and Blood Service.
Joanna is a member of both breast and sarcoma national specialist interest groups and is involved in numerous clinical trials and national guideline development.
Through her role as NZ Director for the Australian and New Zealand Sarcoma Association and as one of the founding members of Sarcoma Foundation New Zealand, she is committed to maximising outcomes for those affected by sarcoma.
Joanna strives to provide the best evidence-based care for her patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
