William is a Medical Oncologist specialising in genitourinary cancers - including prostate, bladder, and kidney, and thoracic malignancies, with a particular focus on lung cancer. He has a strong interest in early drug development and the integration of clinical trials into routine care.

He completed his Medical Oncology specialty training in Auckland before undertaking advanced fellowship training at the Auckland Cancer Trials Centre. He then pursued further subspecialty experience at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, a leading international institution in cancer research and treatment.

William has been an investigator on numerous early, and late-phase clinical trials and remains actively involved in clinical research. His work aims to improve access to emerging therapies and ensure patients benefit from the latest advances in oncology.

He is committed to delivering personalised care, taking the time to understand the goals and priorities of each patient and their whānau, and tailoring treatment strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
