Dr Rebecca Roberts

Vocational Experience
Rebecca is a UK and New Zealand trained medical oncologist specialising in gastrointestinal and lung cancers.

After completing her medical training at Imperial College London, where she received numerous prizes and distinctions, Rebecca immigrated to New Zealand in 2014. Rebecca completed her medical training in Auckland and undertook a clinical fellowship at Auckland Hospital. Rebecca received her FRACP specialist qualification in 2022.

Rebecca also works as a consultant medical oncologist specialising in gastrointestinal and lung cancers at Auckland Hospital. She also initially worked in the breast team and is involved in clinical research.

Rebecca is passionate about optimising health and quality of life for patients in a palliative setting and draws upon her experience with Hospice West Auckland where she also works to ensure that appropriate patients receive good palliative care in addition to active cancer treatment. She aims to deliver outstanding care and the best possible outcomes for all her patients working in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes, and prides herself on her clear communication and her compassionate approach.
