The updated advice from the Ministry of Health (5th March 2020) is:

The third case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in New Zealand.

With continued vigilance the chance of widespread community outbreak is expected to remain low.

People coming into New Zealand should check our information for travellers arriving to New Zealand as they may be subject to border controls or asked to self-isolate.

We’re also asking people who have visited countries or areas of concern and who have developed symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath to seek medical advice – phone Healthline’s dedicated COVID-19 number 0800 358 5453 or contact your GP, including phoning ahead of your visit.

If you are visiting Harbour day stay or physiotherapy:

  • If you have any flu-like symptoms, including fever, coughing or difficulty breathing, please DO NOT enter the clinic and call the healthline COVID number on 0800 358 5453.
  • Please let our nurses know on (09) 925 4470 if you are not attending your appointment or treatment.
  • If you have recently returned from overseas (or a member of your household has) please let our receptionist know before your appointment.
